Television only broadcasts what producers, sponsors and focus groups think will sell. Most white people do not live as clean and wholesome as they did in Leave It To Beaver and on The Donna Reed Show or even as extreme as Archie Bunker’s family. The front lawns may be manicured in the type of neighborhood belonging to the first two, but it’s what goes on behind closed doors that we’re talking about.
